About this work
Strip of natural-colored machine lace: machine-made Valenciennes lace. The repeating pattern consists of diagonally directed branches with stylized flowers and leaves. The motifs are connected to each other by a machine-made square Valenciennes ground. The upper side of the strip is finished straight. The very shallow scalloped edge along the underside is finished with picots.
