Sash of machine-made lace with flowers and leaves

Sash of natural-coloured machine lace: machine-made blonde lace. The shell edges along the long sides of the sash are formed by the repeating pattern of a lying flower. The flowers lie linked, each on a slightly curved stem with an elongated leaf, whereby the flower directs its head with an arch in the stem diagonally downwards. The leaf and the flower form the shells. In the middle field between the shell edges, lie loose smaller flower twigs, which at the beginning and end of the sash are connected with a larger flower between large leaves. These large motifs provide the shell edge on the short sides. The motifs are provided with shiny contour threads and are connected to each other by a machine-made tulle ground. In most flower hearts and at the ends of the sash ornamental grounds are applied, mainly machine-made rose grounds. The shell edges are finished with picots, but these are largely damaged.
