About this work

Strip of bobbin lace, Antwerp lace. The pattern consists of stylized flowers and leaves alternating from the bottom and top of the strip. The motifs are connected by a very sparingly used and irregular mesh ground. The motifs are made in linen stitch with openwork edges. The top and bottom edges of the strip are straight-finished, with picots on one side.
