About this work

Porcelain cup with a cylindrical wall and C-shaped handle, painted on the glaze in enamel colours, blue and gold. The outer wall with a landscape panel containing a representation of a peasant wedding. In a landscape a trumpeter is followed by the bride and groom and several guests. Around the panel in relief a decorative band. On either side of the panel a gold medallion with instruments against a matte blue background. Above the foot, on the rim and on the handle a gold band. The inner wall is half covered in gold.
