About this work

Porcelain cup with a cylindrical wall and C-shaped handle, painted on the glaze in enamel colors and gold. The outer wall is covered with imitation tree bark with moss, on which a poster with a landscape appears to be pasted. At the top the paper is torn and hangs forward. The landscape shows two people among hills, trees and buildings. At the bottom of the poster the inscriptions 'Celocies.[?] inv. et fecit' and 'Devret exscud.' Golden band above the foot and the rim, the handle and the inside are covered with gold. Marked on the underside with 'REVIL, Rue/ Neuve des/ Capucines' and a B.
