About this work

Fichu of linen batiste, triangular, tamboured with straw bouquets of cotton and edged along two sides with a gathered strip of Mechelen bobbin lace. Decoration: straw motif of fantasy flowers and bouquets, some with needle lace hearts. The strip of bobbin lace is gathered for half (on the back) and ungathered where the fichu hangs at the front. Part of the Zaan costume.
