About this work

Fichu, triangular, of linen batiste embroidered with a floral scatter motif of buttonhole stitches and edged with open hems between which runs a leaf and flower scroll of buttonhole stitches. Model: edged on all sides with a rolled hem. Decoration: in the point a grapevine (?) with grape clusters and leaves above an open hem with spiders. Below this, the leaf and flower scroll which is bounded just above the fichu hem by an open hem with spiders.
