About this work

Strip of natural-colored needle lace: Alençon lace. Pattern with a winding, continuous branch with small oval and round flowers on a fine hexagonal mesh ground with some scatter flowers. The bottom of the pattern consists of two fan-shaped figures with a small flower or an oval at the bottom. The fans and ovals are filled with various decorative stitches. The upper side is finished with a straight edge. The underside is finished with a scalloped edge derived from the pattern.
