About this work
Strip of natural-colored machine-made lace: machine-made blonde. The repeating pattern consists of a recumbent flower followed by a recumbent leaf and several smaller leafy branches. The flowers and leaves form a shell border along the lower edge of the strip. The motifs are edged with thick shiny contour threads and connected by a grid ground, a machine-made tulle ground. A machine-made rose ground is applied in the flower hearts. The upper edge of the strip is finished straight. The shell border is finished with picots.
