About this work
Strip of natural-colored machine lace: machine blonde lace. The repeating pattern consists of a lying flower followed by a lying leaf and some smaller leaf twigs. The flowers and leaves create a scalloped edge along the lower edge of the strip. The motifs are provided with thick shiny contour threads and are connected to each other with a lattice ground, a machine tulle ground. In the flower hearts an ornamental ground is applied, a machine rose ground. The upper edge of the strip is finished straight. The scalloped edge is finished with picots.
