Strip of bobbin lace with a flowerpot with one rosette flower on a long stem

Strip of natural-colored Brussels bobbin lace. The repeating pattern consists of a great variety of flowers and leaves with among others some flying insects and a flower pot with one rosette flower on a long stem. The motifs are connected by a fine mesh ground, a droschel ground. The motifs are made in linen stitch with openwork edges, some cutouts and net stitch fillings. Most motifs have cutwork relief contours. As decorative grounds various snowflake grounds are used and picoted plaited grounds. The top edge is finished with a separate cutwork band. The scalloped bottom edge is finished with picots.
