Strip of Bobbin Lace with Thick Vines

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace: Parisian lace. On a square Valenciennes ground stands a running pattern of scroll vines. In the scrolls a mesh filling with coarse spiders. Three fleshy and lobed leaves or flowers, which spring from the vine, form the flat scallops. The motifs are made in linen stitch with a single cutout and with thick contour threads. As decorative grounds coarse snowflake grounds are applied, with ringed and non-ringed snowflakes. In some motifs a decoration with form stitches is realized. The top of the strip is finished straight. The shallow scalloped border along the bottom comes from the pattern with the scroll vines and is finished with picots.
