Strip of natural-colored Brussels bobbin lace. The pattern consists of various symmetrical compositions with large flowers, leaves and scrolls. There is a great richness of leaf and flower forms to be seen. The motifs are connected by picoted plaited grounds. The motifs are made in linen stitch with cutouts and openwork edges and with net stitch fillings. Various motifs are provided with cutwork relief contours. Various decorative grounds are applied, including fine snowflake grounds, rose grounds and fine mesh grounds decorated with squares made in form stitch. The top edge is finished with a separate cutwork band. The irregularly scalloped bottom edge comes from the pattern and is finished with picots.
