Strip of bobbin lace with a candelabra motif

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace: Eastern European lace. The pattern consists of a symmetrical composition where the contours of the motifs are made with a continuous narrow ribbon that winds strongly. The composition consists of a candelabrum motif with a flower with nine narrow petals in the middle on both sides. Hanging leaves under the flowers. The ribbons are made in linen stitch with openwork edges and with seven pairs of bobbins. The motifs are connected because the running pair of the ribbon is hooked to the previous one after a bend. The lace is worked with all bobbins at once. The upper side of the strip is finished straight. The winding ribbon creates a scalloped edge along the lower side of the strip and is finished with picots.
