Insert of Red and White Bobbin Lace with Concentric Circles in Square Panels

Insert of colored - red and white - bobbin lace: Cluny lace. The repeating pattern consists of a row of square fields, marked by red lines. In each field two picoted braids form concentric circles around a red-white diamond in the center. In each corner point stand two leaves made in shaped stitch. The red diamond in the center of each field passes into a larger white diamond in linen stitch. This stands half in one field and half in the next field. The red threads with which the fields are marked and with which the red diamonds are formed create a red cross in the white diamonds. Top and bottom sides are finished straight with a red zigzag by horizontal white threads.
