About this work
Strip of natural-colored needle lace, cut work and drawn thread work. Pattern with a wide cut-out point in the center. Cut edges with triangles where 'bows' in buttonhole stitch form the connection between the opposing triangles at the cut edge. To the left of this, embroidery in the form of insect wings. To the right of the cut-out point, embroidery in the form of shields. The edges along the strip at the top and bottom consist of drawn thread work, with a pattern of a row of squares with alternating a spider and a stylized flower.
