About this work

Strip of black bobbin lace: Cluny lace. The repeating pattern consists of wheels. The motifs are made in linen stitch and net stitch and are connected to each other by an irregular braid ground. Both upper and underside of the strip have a scalloped edge that result from the pattern with the wheels. Decorations are made in shape stitch and with tassels.
