Strip of Bobbin Lace with Stylized Red Trees

Strip of colored bobbin lace: strap lace. The colors used are red, natural and blue. The repeating pattern consists of a stylized red tree, hanging with a straight trunk from the top edge of the strip downwards. The successive trees touch each other at the widest point of the fan-shaped leaf crowns. The leaf crowns form the scalloped edge along the bottom. A wide border along the top edge of the strip, as wide as the tree trunks are long, consists of a natural-colored base through which run horizontal lines in red and blue. Between the leaf crowns the trees are connected by a natural-colored lattice ground: a strap lattice ground. The top edge of the strip is straight finished.
