About this work
Stoneware jug (schnelle) with a cylindrical, tapering body and C-shaped handle. Profiles under the rim and above the foot. On the body, in relief, three times a stamped and applied, elongated panel containing scenes from the life of Lazarus. Some inscriptions on the jug: top left 'LASERVS IN ABREHAMS SCHVSS', in the middle panel the date '1567', the right panel with 'RICHEN MAN LVCE XV' and 'LASERVS'. Attached to the handle, a tin mount with a lid. The inside of the lid with an illegible mark. Siegburg.
