About this work

Beer mug (humpen) of stoneware with a cylindrical body and slightly inward-curving rim. On the front a richly decorated medallion consisting of a band of impressed zigzag lines (knibis), one of links, and a stamped and applied relief band of grapevines. In the medallion an engraved flowering plant. The handle is broken. Westerwald.
