About this work

The object cast in three parts, used as a travel icon, consists of a central panel with an upper piece and two side panels. On the central panel, the Mother of God surrounded by saints and other figures. On the side panels: the Entry into Jerusalem, the Presentation in the Temple, Christ in the Praetorium, and the Ascension of Christ. The upper piece shows the head of Christ (the Mandilion), three angels (from the Feast of Abraham), and two seraphim.
