About this work
Five glasses with depictions of professions in a wooden frame. Farthest to the left: a lawyer receives, seated next to a table with books, a client who stands with a letter in his hand. To the right of that: the doctor receives, seated behind a table with an open book, a client. In the middle: the surgeon bandages the leg of a man sitting on a chair. To the right of that: the apothecary stirs in a large bowl set on a round three-legged stove. Farthest to the right: a figure that cannot be identified from the prints of Menselyk Bedryf, but based on his clothing may be identified as a preacher.
