About this work

Five glasses with depictions of professions in a wooden frame. Farthest to the left: an officer, with outstretched arm, with weapons in the background. To the right of that: a spectacle-maker, standing with a case of spectacles on a shelf to his left, and a customer to his right. In the middle: a candle-maker lifts a rack of candles from a bath. To the right of that: a sculptor, working with hammer and chisel on a white stone image of a woman. Farthest to the right: a glassblower, at a furnace, blowing on a long pipe with a bell of glass at the end.
