About this work
Chest of yew wood, decorated with pen and thick ink drawings, the backgrounds sunk and provided with hatching. The front and back panels show mythological figures within a circular border, accompanied by zodiac signs. The side walls carry seated female figures with compass and globe. On the front a double yellow copper eagle as a keyhole plate. The round lid with a network and hatching. Copper corner bands, hinges with mascarons and handles.
