About this work
The New Testament and the Psalms from 1854, bound in segreine leather with old silver locks, corners and rings. On the locks chased: Abraham's sacrifice and the three angels at Abraham. The Annunciation and the Nativity. The Circumcision and the Presentation in the Temple. On the corners: Charity with the Law, twice; Faith with the Cross, twice; Innocence with a dove, twice; Trust or Strength with a column, twice. On the mountings to which the rings: Hope with the anchor; Innocence (?) with the lamb. On one of the lips of the locks Jh. Oojevaar (from a later period).
