About this work

Model: shoe with a pointed, upturned toe and half-high heels. Linen upper, lined with coarse linen. The tongue almost completely disappears under the two overlapping flaps, originally fastened with a shoe buckle. Between the upper and the sole, a stitched border of the same white goatskin with which the heel is also covered. Insole of white goatskin. Decoration: the upper, the tongue, and the flaps are embroidered in multi-colored silk in petit point with a floral motif consisting of pomegranate (?), rose, forget-me-not, vines with leaves, pink-red and blue flowers.
