Outbreak of fire in a house on the Leidsegracht, at the corner with the Herengracht, in Amsterdam, during a severe frost on 12 January 1684. Water is scooped from holes in the frozen canal for the hose nozzles. On the right, on the ice, spectators. Three lines of caption in Dutch and French.
