The disguised thieves Jan de Rolder and Piet Pothuis raise their glasses in the tavern, where Swaantje stands behind the bar cabinet raging at her husband Fobert. She is so busy with him that she does not notice she is being robbed. In the side room to the right, Hartje Spilpenning and Saartje van Lichten are dressed as Mennonites.
