Two representations of marriage customs among the Reformed in Amsterdam, ca. 1730. In the upper representation the betrothed couple receives congratulations and gifts. In the lower representation the palm-knotting, the tying of flower and leaf wreaths by the betrothed couple and friends. With legend and inscriptions in French.
