Two depictions of wedding customs among the Reformed in Amsterdam, ca. 1730. In the upper depiction, the engaged couple receives congratulations and gifts. In the lower depiction, the palm buttoning, the buttoning of flower and leaf wreaths by the engaged couple and friends. With captions in French.
