About this work

Cloris and Roosje dance at their wedding. On the dais two violinists, of whom the woman raises the glass. To the right the guests and a man, who is giving a speech from a barrel. At the bottom in the margin the coat of arms of and an inscription to Jan Jacob de Bruyn, who had the original painting in his collection. Scene from the song play The Wedding of Cloris and Roosje.
