About this work
In a house of ill repute, music is made, dancing, drinking and fornicating by elegantly dressed people. Foreground right, a woman behind a positive organ and a lutenist seen from the back. Left, two men with masks on playing respectively a grate as a lute and a bellows as a violin. In the middle, before a Venus statue, a dancing couple. Background right in the doorway, the procuress.
