Wide view of the frozen river Maas at Rotterdam at the beginning of 1776, with various forms of ice amusements. Landscape south of the Oude-Hoofdpoort, along the houses of the Haringvliet, with carriages on the ice, skating, sleds, koek en zopie, etc. At the bottom, titles in Dutch and French on either side of a vignette with the coat of arms of Rotterdam and river gods.
