About this work
Vast view of the frozen river Maas in Rotterdam at the beginning of 1776 with all kinds of ice entertainment. Landscape south of the Oude-Hoofdpoort, along the houses of the Haringvliet, with carriages on the ice, skates, sleds, cakes and drinks etc. At the bottom the titles in Dutch and French on either side of a vignette with the coat of arms of Rotterdam and river gods.
