About this work
Orangist allegorical representation in which a Batavian as Hercules drives the monster of Discord into hell. On the left side of the medallion is a trophy with the arms of Discord, on the right side a trophy with the arms of Unity. At the top shines the sun with an Orange branch and an olive branch; at the bottom darkness reigns with a skull and Patriot pamphlets. With Latin border inscription. Used in a pamphlet by Johannes le Francq van Berkhey in 1787. Subject headings within the Atlas of Customs and Manners: Military Affairs; Army; Historical Prints.
