About this work

Orangist allegorical representation in which a Batavian as Hercules drives the monster of Discord to hell. On the left side of the medallion, a trophy with the arms of Discord, on the right side a trophy with the arms of Concord. At the top, the sun shines with an Orange branch and an olive branch, at the bottom darkness reigns with a skull and patriotic pamphlets. With Latin border inscription. Around the representation a garland with text. Used in a work by Johannes le Francq van Berkhey from 1801-1804. The print is accompanied by a separate explanation.
