View of the side of the First Sint-Antonies Gate in Amsterdam. In the background on the right, the Oude Kerk. This fifteenth-century building came to lie within the city (on the Nieuwmarkt) after the urban expansions at the end of the sixteenth century and thus lost its function as a city gate.
