About this work
View of the side of the First Sint-Antoniespoort in Amsterdam. The Oude Kerk is visible on the right in the background. This fifteenth-century building, after the city expansions at the end of the sixteenth century, came to lie within the city (on the Nieuwmarkt) and thus lost its function as a city gate. In 1617–1618 it was converted into a weigh house. A banner with the title is in the center at the top.
