View of the Corvershof (left) on the Nieuwe Herengracht in Amsterdam. Viewed towards the Binnen-Amstel, with a part of the Diaconie Oude Vrouwen- en Mannenhuis on the left in the background. Groups of people talking stand on the street. Part of a series of prints of the Corvershof, put into use in 1723, intended for older married couples of the Dutch Reformed (later Remonstrant) faith. Subject headings within the Atlas of Customs and Manners: Poverty and Charity.
