About this work
An interior with various officers. On the right a man sits at a writing desk, on the left a man is busy with fire from the open fireplace, in the middle three gentlemen look at a map. Above the fireplace a coat of arms and above that a portrait of a man in profile surrounded by a laurel wreath. This copy places the scene in New York and the depicted soldiers belong to the English army. Reduced copy with German and French inscription.
