About this work
The doctors Raasbollius and Urinaal quarrel in the inn of Loenen about the course of the planets, while Eelhart sits at the table watching. Above the door hang the portraits of Copernicus and Ptolemaeus. Through the door a woman with a candle in her hand enters the room. Scene from the nineteenth act of De wiskunstenaars, or 't Gevluchte juffertje by Pieter Langendijk. Stands before the letter.
