About this work
On the right, Spanish soldiers enter through a door, one of whom is already kneeling to put shackles on the ankles of a seated man (Claes Dirkz.). Right next to him, P.D. Hasselaer has already stood up and points to his own chest. On the left and in the background, the women and family members in panic. The family was seated at a set table.
