About this work

Plate from the VOC ship 'Witte Leeuw', 100% present, reconstructed from sherds. The sherd is white and has little embedded dirt. The glaze is bluish, has pinholes and firing cracks, and is flaking off over the lip edge. The base is glazed and the footring is faceted. The interior base is decorated with a pheasant with flowers. The interior wall is decorated with four medallions containing a sketchy flower.
