About this work
Plate from the VOC ship 'Witte Leeuw', 90% present; parts of the wall and center are missing. The sherd is glassy white and contains little embedded dirt. The glaze is blue-tinted and shows craquelure on the outside. There are also pinholes and small firing cracks in the glaze. The base is glazed. The footring curves inward, is V-shaped, and faceted. With a loose fragment.
