About this work

Fragment of a plate from the VOC ship 'Witte Leeuw', 15% present. The sherd is glassy white and contains much embedded dirt. The glaze is blue-tinted. The base is unglazed. The footring is faceted, V-shaped, and curves inward. Little kiln sand was found. Lamp plate. Nine fragments glued together.
