About this work

Letter bag in a flat, rectangular model of red velvet. The front and back are almost completely decorated with embroidery in gold and silver thread with small details in blue silk. Under the flap on the front is the inscription 'Francois Louis Vander Wiellen' embroidered. On the back is written in curly letters 'Constantinopoli 1696'. The lining of the bag is of linen.
