About this work
Photo album presented to Jacobus Marinus Pijnacker Hordijk upon his departure from Yogyakarta in 1886 by his friends and acquaintances. The album contains 50 cardboard pages with a total of 89 photographs. Two photographs are pasted on 32 pages; cartes-de-visite are inserted on 5 pages, and 12 pages are empty. A drawn title page at the front. The album cover is covered with brown linen and decorated on the front with metal ornaments (the rosette on the lower left is missing), equipped with a metal book lock.
