Flintlock pistol

Part of a pair. The lock is simply engraved with edges, a row of knobs, and a signature. The barrel has a rib on top; the front sight bead is of iron; stamped underneath with a mark in the shape of a chair (?) with a crown above it. The stock is relief-carved with, among other things, curls. The brass, formerly gilded furniture includes, among other things, an asymmetrical screw plate consisting of leafy vines, a thumb plate of pierced leafy vines, branches, and dolphins, and a butt knob with a mask underneath; the ramrod is fitted with a cowhorn cap.
