Flintlock pistol

Part of a pair. The lock shows traces of having been blued; the pan is rainproof; the lock plate and the cock are engraved with some foliage within inlaid edges of brass; the lock plate is signed. The blued barrel is divided into three by rings and has a ring around the breech; the ring at the end of the breech is inlaid with brass; engraved with a rope motif and acanthus leaves; at the rear stands a shield-like motif divided by a row of punched circles; the tail of the barrel has a similar inlaid edge and a wing-shaped rear sight; brass front sight bead; stamped on the side at the rear with a T. The stock is relief-carved with curled foliage at the ramrod opening and behind the barrel, where a grotesque mask is also carved; the grip is inlaid with engraved brass with curls and tulip-like flowers.
