Flintlock pistol

The lock is unadorned except for a signature. The barrel has two bands with rings, the front one narrower than the rear; yellow copper front sight; stamped at the bottom with an undecipherable mark. The stock is carved with, among other things, curls and masks; on the forestock stands a half-snake/half-bird on each side. The formerly gilded, yellow copper mount with chased relief decoration consists, among other things, of a triangular screw plate with a mask flanked by Classical military trophies, a crowned thumb plate with a Classical military trophy against a granular background and a mask below it, and a butt cap with Classical military trophies on both sides and a small mask at the bottom; the ramrod has a cowhorn cap.
